| THE ORGANIZATION |

| The Development Associates (DA) is a national level consortium of development professionals/ organizations engaged in the multifaceted development of the people at disadvantage, in India . The DA focuses at micro level development, and, communication & dissemination of information at macro level, on major development issues, accepting that the micro level development is considerably influenced by macro level policies, legislation and resource pool. |

| The DA is registered as Charitable Public Trust since 1995. The Trust is exempted of income tax u/s 12(a) of Indian Income Tax Act. |

| The Development Associates is support organization working to enhance capacity of the implementing organizations to work effectively for accomplishment of their objects and vision in due course of time. |

| The DA is working with a mission to upgrade the skill and know-how level of the development organizations working especially in India . The ultimate vision is to improve the quality of life of the less cared population of India thru the improved and systematized initiatives, of the development conscious organizations. |

- Develop network of organizations and promote sharing.
- Generate resources for development programs and capacity building of organizations.
- Develop and disseminate informative and educative material to improve know-how level of development organizations.
- Promote advancement and diffusion of knowledge of management, and, engineering & elevation of profession.
- Undertake and support gender sensitive, environment friendly sustainable development activities for the needy communities.
